Backsplash measurement and outlet worksheet

Record what is visible and leave anything unmeasured as unknown. This worksheet organizes a review; it does not create an order quantity, price, installation approval, electrical determination, or permit decision.

Measure each visible surface separately

Record wall runs and returns in inches from the counter or finished surface to the cabinet, ceiling, or other stated stopping point. A simple optional total only adds complete rectangular wall and return surfaces. It does not subtract outlets, allow for cuts, pattern, breakage, tile thickness, or field conditions.

Make exposed edges and shelves visible

Note exposed left and right ends, returns, and shelf dimensions so edge treatment and cuts can be reviewed with the selected tile and assembly. A trim preference is a planning note, not a selected or approved profile.

Keep outlet and electrical work separate

List outlet locations and describe any requested adjustment. Outlet covers, relocation, wiring, code requirements, and permit needs are outside this worksheet and require separate electrical scope review where applicable.
