Estimate Scope Comparison Worksheet

Copy the wording you can see into both columns. A blank means the item was not stated here or is unknown to you; it does not prove that work is excluded. The worksheet does not calculate a price, approve an installation, or replace a written contract or site review.

Compare the written scope, not the contractor

Use the same categories for both estimates: demolition, haul-off, preparation, allowances, material responsibility, transitions, trim, and exclusions. Different wording may describe different assumptions, quantities, materials, access conditions, or trade boundaries.

Use blanks as follow-up questions

A missing or unclear entry is a reason to ask for clarification. It is not evidence that an estimate is incorrect or that a contractor will not perform the work. Confirm the written scope, material details, site conditions, and any separate trade work before making a decision.

Keep the next estimate request factual

If you choose to use this worksheet in an estimate request, it carries a bounded private planning summary for review. It does not submit anything automatically, produce a client-ready proposal, or put your comparison notes in a public URL.
